In order for you to better understand why diets don&#8217;t work I first need to go into how to lose weight by eating healthy. </p>
<p>Losing weight by eating healthy really isn&#8217;t difficult at all. The key to losing pounds through healthy eating is healthy foods and variety. Now, you probably already know that healthy foods are a key component to healthy eating. That one&#8217;s a given. However, there is a lot more to eating healthy than just healthy. In order for you to effectively lose weight by eating healthier foods you need to make sure that you are eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. This is the basis for weight loss though your eating habits. You see, contrary to popular belief starving yourself and eliminating meals out of the day is not the way to go when it comes to losing weight. Yes, you will see some weight loss in the very beginning but after that your progress will start to plateau. Not to mention that starving yourself is absolutely terrible for your body. The reason why eating during all meals of the day works to your weight loss advantage is because it keeps your metabolism going. When you are constantly eliminating breakfast or any other meal from your day then you are screwing yourself over in terms of metabolism.</p>
<p>It is actually even better to lose weight by healthy eating through even more than 3 meals a day but working off of a 3 meal a day plan is a great start. In addition to eating regularly throughout the day you will want to make sure that you are basing your meals around essential nutrients. However, simply including the essentials (carbohydrates, fats, proteins) into your meals is not enough. If you want to lose weight by healthy eating then you need to make sure that you are including these nutrients and balancing these nutrients at the same time. Your goal is to get an equal amount of protein, fat, and carbohydrates into your diet because your body needs all 3 of these. This is why most &#8220;diets&#8221; fail to deliver weight loss. Most diets are based around low fat, low carb, or low calorie meal plans. And when you deprive yourself of essential nutrients you aren&#8217;t doing your body any good. </p>

I realize that healthy is a rather subjective term so you&#8217;ll have to use your own judgment and common sense. Remember, losing weight by eating healthy doesn&#8217;t have to be difficult. All you need to do is eat regularly, maintain balance in terms of what you eat, eat sensible portions, and stay committed.   </p>
